Nooo Shows?

Saturday, July 31st, 2004

Noooo shows ahoy… American TV is mostly poo like Will And Grace (is a camp man dancing around really hysterical? No!) or those endless reality shows (Littlest Groom: find a date for a dwarf… exploitation!!!) but there are a few good things that appear each year, usually only to be cancelled within 3 episodes. Channel 4 has bought Lost and Desperate Housewives: hurrah! and I think Sky still has the rights for Dead Like Me, so some of these things will appear over here. The joy of broadband and Bit Torrent means I can see all these new pilots and be really opinionated about them before you see them. HBO’s Entourage was poop, but the new Seth McFarlane animation American Dad seems good from the 5 minute preview I’ve just seen. Very Family Guy but that was his creation too. If you like surreal oddities then this is for you and it seems like it will be quite satirical with the whole Bush War On Terror angle. Get on that suprnova.org and see for yourself…

That would be illogical…

Thursday, July 29th, 2004

Are you watching Big Brother? I don’t understand the increasingly psychotic tendencies of Geordie Vulcan Priestess Michelle. Her obsessive controlling behaviour with Stuart is so unlike the Vulcan way of logic and emotional restraint. Her poor parents will be too ashamed to do that funny peace sign thing with their fingers when she is evicted :-(

The Michelle Family were not amused with their daughter’s un-Vulcan behaviour

Born evil?

Thursday, July 29th, 2004

Strange day… got up at 6 and had a friend round for breakfast, which is very rare for us. Amongst the people and places we visited in Sussex we discussed the subject of whether pure evil exists in people and if they are born that way, how it would be quicker just to kill yourself than smoke and had fun with a cheese knife. We soaked our socks due to paddling pool leakage in the garden and my friend’s daughter asked me if there were any girls in our house! Sorry Maddie but there aren’t, just a couple of gays… Aww bless, she’s only 3. We gained 2 great new children’s drawings for our wall and learnt not to mix Play-dough with water. How educational!

An old-fashioned child, off Google Images, this evening. How quaint!

Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves…

Wednesday, July 28th, 2004

Sometimes I think all the general public smell of wee and nick things. Working in a shop tends to distort your view of reality somewhat. If it’s not pretend-disabled men in motorised wheelchairs who can walk one day and spend the next bossing you around because they can’t go use the lift even though they can it’s another attempt by a chav scum to steal things. You know those security tags shops put on DVDs? They’re harder to remove than Anne Widdecombe’s knickers but the vermin still find a way… Grrr and arse!

Most people are lovely but sadly we only remember the pain-in-the-bum ones. Pah!

Bloggin’ Eck!

Tuesday, July 27th, 2004

Blogs.

We’ve all got them.

They’re big and clever.

Some of them are better than others. Like these few…

Hulk has written a blog. If you’re a geek you’ll love it, maybe a bit too much!

A strange angry bookshop man called Lance also has a blog where he shouts at the public. Fools!

And if you like rubbish gays or in fact a gay who is a bit rubbish then the Rubbish Gays blog is for you!

Colin and Justin from that TV programme

(some rubbish gays, somewhere recently)

Now go off and write yer own one too you lazy so and so!

Little Britain is filming series 2 in the studio in September…hurrah! The location work will be done by then and I have seen a marvellous new picture of rubbish transvestite Emily Howard. Meanwhile, in the real world, there is a site for proper rubbish trannies and you’ll find it linked via one of my Little Britain pages.  Or you could look at this particularly half-hearted example :

Rubbish Transvestite

Batman Costume

I have just watched Farenheit 911. I dislike President Minge even more than before. Meanwhile, in a book somewhere, someone has compared George Bush to Batman. How silly! So someone else with a bit of common sense has made a logical fascinating article out of this idea. Read it here if you are a politically-inclined geek like me!

There are always groups of chav scum hanging around outside my window. Chav Girls!

They’re quite annoying yet strangely addictive to listen to and watch, like a really badly improvised street theatre. Last night they spent a good half hour trying to all jump up onto a wall then sit on it in a long line. Each one of them had the regulation sportswear outfit on (Nickelson, Adidas, other logos are available etc), mostly finished off with a nice crisp baseball cap… oh we love the Council Estate Couture around these parts! The chav girls are always outnumbered by the boys, do they take turns? And why is their hair pulled back tight and then slicked back as well? Do they know something we don’t or are the hair thieves out again? I recommend hairnets, girls. And sort out the Hitler Fringes while you’re at it? Do their mums spend the mirror budget on fags? I don’t doubt it!

What’s the point of a weblog exactly? Are we all that interesting that we feel other people who use the internet will rush to read our ramblings on a variety of subjects that matter probably only to us? I don’t know the answer to this but I intend to find out… somehow. For now I shall just sit here and wait…
