Weirdness

Sunday, October 31st, 2004

We’ve been having a lot of trouble recently with our site. Part of this has been due to our hosting company switching our IP address, breaking our DNS records, and last night another weirdness happened where we couldn’t upload any file greater than 1200 bytes. This is a bit of a nuisance if your nativgation bar is 1512 bytes!

Anyway, it turned out that the MTU on our Netgear DSL Router was set wrong. Bumping it up to 1500b cured it instantly! So hopefully it’s all now working…

(Except the Pirate Memory Game – not hosted by us – which seems to be down at the moment)

Half Term = Devil children!

Wednesday, October 27th, 2004

I hate being a shop manager in halfterm week. I spent half my day chasing kids out and telling them to leave. One was hanging over the upstairs balcony which is a sheer drop, shouting obscenities at passers-by! Little fuckers they may be but I don’t want any juvenile deaths please. Madams: Please control yer little angels or kindly go get sterilized. Grrrr….etc

Wrinkles

Sunday, October 24th, 2004

The guestbook has been down for about 24 hours. Sorry about that. DNS problems. Nobody seems to have noticed. Should be back up in about 4 hours – and the add function is working again now…

Oops!

Saturday, October 16th, 2004

Our web hosting company had a massive hardware disaster midweek, taking down our site. It’s taken us a couple of days to get the Little Britain micro-site back up, but everything’s back and tickety-boo! Huzzah! Apologies to anyone who had trouble.

The guestbook is not accepting new posts at the moment. Can’t find out why at the moment, but on Thursday, when we get our new 2MB ADSL from Bulldog (ooooo!!!) we’ll be bringing back to our home server and all should be happy again…

And remember – watch Little Britain this week. And don’t forget to bore your friends senseless about how fabulous it is!

Pig wanker

Wednesday, October 6th, 2004

‘Channel’ Five has caused a kerfuffle by showing that awful woman who may or may not have shagged Beckham wanking a pig in their reality show The Farm. I don’t think anything I could add would make this more freaky, desperate and fame-seeking than it already is.

Nice!

Site Updates

Sunday, October 3rd, 2004

We are expanding! As our bandwidth is starting to outstrip our poor old ADSL line we have transferred our hosting to Easy Internet. It’s good value for money. At the moment our guestbook is a bit wonky. Sorry about that. If you find any problems with the site, please don’t hesitate to let us know!
